Some Bones Noise

Manel Ruiz, known as Sistema in the concentric circles of electronics made in Barcelona, returns to the long format after a time of silence. This time has served him to twist his sound proposal, even more, always cooked with IDM, acid warrior and sui generis techno.

A new absolutely personal and inimitable instalment of our most beloved little genius, in which he shows that in sense of humor, creativity and honesty there is no one who wins over him. Without question “Some Bones Noise” is one of the albums that will mark the path of what has to be done to keep sounding fresh and innovative. In this year, that will be difficult for everyone to forget and move on, Sistema lands on the young label, No Where, to show us the sonic paths that this catalan (and culer) guy has been entering in recent times. And the result, as expected, is far from any preconceived idea that we could imagine.

Although, those of you who have followed Manel Ruiz trajectory during the last four decades, you already know that when it comes to producing, Sistema thinks like Guardiola, dribbles like Messi and marking very strongly, like Ronald Koeman. He always keep a few aces up his sleeve, ready to surprise and hypnotize. And a brilliant mix of all this can be found in “Some bones noise” Without ever losing his melodic essence, like Bochum Welt, or his love for martial rhythms, which limit with that what they call industrial music, nor for the more acidic sounds of electronic music; in “Some Bones Noise”, Sistema appears in a similar suit to the one he has always worn, but with details that make him grow as a producer and artist.

Controlled noise, post punk spirit, excursions through the narcotic and smoked dub, broken soul rhythms and emotional voices, dreamy electro acoustic compositions, able to take you into space and beyond… All that and more is the sound of the bones creaking.
