SEÑOR SUERTE

El Infierno

In 2007 the Catholic Church eliminated what is called “limbo”, the place where children who died without having received baptism ended up. But they have never said anything about Hell, a hole in which almost all of us will end up, seeing how little we love each other and how miserable we become among our peers. And such is the name of Señor Suerte’s first LP, the name Josep Vilagut uses to present his fresh and natural collection of songs on the No Where label.

An album made during the quarantine that everyone has forced us to live in, “El infierno” is an eight-chapter album that revolves around the two meanings of mourning: on the one hand, the loss management process , in this case, of the old normal life; and on the other the confrontation, in this case with oneself. An LP composed and recorded in his own studio (La Masia Music Lab) that, sailing through the seas of boogie rock and the most guitar-making pop, bright and bittersweet, narrates a duel and a personal search that can be extrapolated to the different stages that we lived during our growth in adulthood.

From the disappointment and anger of ‘Descalabro’ to the liberation and gratitude of ‘Valiente’, Señor Suerte accompanies us through various emotional phases, reflecting with transparent honesty feelings and situations such as frustration and anger at events beyond our control, the recurring reverie, the nostalgia, the hope, the bitter drink of the silent goodbyes or the recognition of those people who have been and are the light on the road.

After several years producing other bands and artists (Honolulu, The Lucies, Marujita …) Josep Vilagut aka Señor Suerte has finally dared to show us his most personal side through an album that, we are not going to deny it, shows a disillusioned optimist, an existential romanticist, and an artist unafraid to open his heart, through a collection of round, precious and groovy songs.
